## Finding Peace Through Trust in God

Many people believe their anxiety would disappear if they had more money, more security, or greater control over their circumstances.

If only the bills were paid, the future was certain, and everything worked according to plan, then they could finally rest.

But what if anxiety isn't really about money?

What if it is about trust?

At Rock House Center, we frequently see people struggling with stress, anxiety, fear, and emotional suffering because they feel responsible for controlling outcomes that are ultimately beyond their control. Financial concerns are often at the center of those fears, yet money itself is rarely the root problem.

Money can provide temporary comfort, but it cannot provide lasting peace.

Peace comes from knowing that God is trustworthy.

## The Burden of Trying to Control Everything

When life becomes uncertain, our natural tendency is to grab tighter.

We try to control our finances, relationships, health, careers, and future. We spend countless hours planning, worrying, and preparing for every possible outcome.

The problem is that control is an illusion.

No matter how carefully we plan, we cannot guarantee tomorrow.

Trying to control everything creates a burden that we were never designed to carry.

The more we attempt to secure peace through our own efforts, the more anxious we often become.

## Trust Changes Everything

Imagine how different life would feel if you genuinely believed that God would provide everything you truly need.

Not necessarily everything you want.

Not necessarily everything according to your timeline.

But everything you need.

Trust does not mean life becomes easy.

Trust means your peace is no longer based on your circumstances.

Trust means your confidence rests in God's character rather than your ability to manage every situation.

When we trust God, fear begins to lose its grip.

Anxiety begins to lose its authority.

Peace begins to grow.

## God's Promise

Scripture gives us a powerful promise concerning God's faithfulness:

> "I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. I will not, I will not, I will not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let you down."
> — Hebrews 13:5 (AMP)

God's promise is not based on our performance.

It is based on His faithfulness.

Even during seasons of hardship, uncertainty, and struggle, He remains trustworthy.

## A Question Worth Asking

Consider this question honestly:

**Are you trusting God, or are you trusting your ability to control circumstances?**

Many of us pray for God's help while continuing to place our hope in our own plans, resources, and efforts.

True trust requires surrender.

It means believing that God's plan is better than our own and that His wisdom exceeds ours.

That kind of trust produces a peace that circumstances cannot take away.

## A Simple Prayer

If anxiety and worry have been weighing heavily on your heart, take a moment to pray:

> Heavenly Father, I confess that I often place my trust in circumstances, money, and my own ability to control outcomes. Help me place my trust fully in You. Teach me to rest in Your promises, rely on Your faithfulness, and find peace in Your presence. Give me the courage to surrender my fears and believe that You are working all things together for good. In Jesus' name, Amen.
